SUPPORT STRUCTURES – Towers

Price LogPro designs and fabricates many components that supplement its main debarking line, among these are the major support systems such as the screen tower and hog tower. These structures are custom-designed to fit the customers’ specific production requirements. They are versatile to allow for high-volume screens, rechippers, cyclones, large and small hogs, and various chutework and conveyors needed to transport the chips and fuel.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Price LogPro recognizes safety hazards in the workplace. One such hazard results from logs falling from the truck while the driver is unbinding the load. This has been the cause of many injuries and fatalities across the country. Price LogPro offers a truck unbinding rack as a means to reduce, if not eliminate, this deadly safety hazard. Our unbinding rack is automatically self-realigning and its design prevents damage to vehicles. This unit meets the OSHA requirements for log unloading methods (§1910.265),

Conveyors

To supplement the Price Drum Debarkers, Price LogPro also designs and fabricates heavy-duty belt and chain conveyors. Included in this category are the patented Positive Feed Conveyor,drum discharge conveyors, chipper infeed conveyors, and variousconveyors designed for chip and bark handling. These conveyors are designed with continuous, maximum capacity use in mind.

Rotary Log Cranes

The Price LogPro Rotary Log Crane is a continuous duty crane designed for off-loading tree-length and shortwood from trucks. In just one or two picks, depending on the model, the Price crane can off-load trucks for wood storage, log processing decks or directly into debarking infeed chutes. The optional trolley allows maximum use of the wood storage area.

Unlike other cranes of similar construction, the structure at the pivot of the Price crane is filled with concrete of sufficient weight to counterbalance the crane lifting forces. As a result, the pivot bearing is always under compression. The counter balance design gives the Price LogPro Rotary Log Crane an added safety feature, that in case of a pivot bearing failure, the crane will not overturn.

The Price LogPro Rotary Log Crane is designed for continuous duty and surpasses the most stringent requirements of CMAA 70 specifications. With models ranging from a 25-Ton, 125′ unit to a 45-Ton, 170′ unit, the Price log crane sets the standard for pulp-mill duty rotary log cranes.
